This document discribes the test methods and requirements of three-phase asynchronous motors.The test methods include insulation resistance measurement，DC resistance measurement，thermal test，load test，no-load test，locked rotor test，determination of losses and efficiency，tests of speed-torque curves，measurement of moment of inertia，test of momentary excess torque for motors，impluse test of the interturn insulation，voltage withstand test，measurement of rotor voltage，overspeed test，vibration and noise test，shaft voltage and bearing current measurement.
This document is applicable to three-phase asynchronous motors.
