This specification covers selected uncoated or coated aluminum, aluminum alloy, and aluminum clad steel cable shielding stocks used for electrostatic or electromagnetic shielding in insulated power, control, instrumentation, and communication cables including coaxial cables. Claddings may be bonded to the base metal by any method, provided it can produce a clad material that conforms to the requirements. Aluminum materials should be furnished in Temper 0 while aluminum clad steel materials should be in the annealed temper.
